This woman is 2021's happiest Best of Western Washington winner

The reason she didn't believe she won $2500. Sponsored by Bellevue Rare Coins

BELLEVUE, Wash. — Jenny Chan, the person who won the grand prize of $2500 just for voting in the Best of Western Washington viewers poll, was skeptical when she was called with the news.

"I thought it was a scam, I'm like, this is unbelievable. What is this?"

So we pulled out the big guns. Well, the medium guns. Okay... Evening host  Jim Dever. Who picked up the phone to re-break the news that she had just won $2500 in gold or cash from Bellevue Rare Coins.

Then the team at Bellevue Rare Coins made it all official with a giant check - Jenny opted for that instead of gold - and some confetti cannons.

"Jenny, on behalf of Bellevue Rare Coins we want to thank you for voting in Best of Western Washington and on behalf of Bellevue Rare Coins we want to present you with your prize  — 25 hundred dollars!" said co-owner Angela Rivers as she handed over the prize to the happy winner at their Bellevue location.

"It's unbelievable that I won, I've never won anything this big, this is super exciting!" Chan said.

Evening would like to congratulate Jenny Chan, and thank her for voting in Best of Western Washington. We'd also like to thank her for believing us!
