SEATTLE — Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-WA 7th District, was in her home district Friday and reflected on her recent trip to the U.S.-Mexico border.

At one point Jayapal, who represents Seattle, became emotional about what she witnessed at the border.

"I sat there talking to these kids who are 16, 17 years old with gunshots – I’m going to get emotional," Jayapal said. "You know, I don’t know how are we doing this.”
