SEATTLE — A Martin Luther King Jr. Day march took place Monday starting at Garfield High School in the Central District to Westlake Park in downtown Seattle.
The march was followed by a program and community meal, according to the Martin Luther King Jr. Organizing Coalition.
Workshops on Monday focused on defeating poverty, racism, and war.
This year the group partnered with Seattle Womxn Marching Forward, which organized three days of activism around Saturday’s Womxn’s March.
