Take one last ride on the Alaskan Way Viaduct before it gets demolished – in virtual reality.

We drove down the viaduct – northbound and southbound – for a last hurrah on a sunny Seattle day a week before it was set to close.

The viaduct closes for good Friday at 10 p.m., but you can still walk on it a final time during a celebration for the new tunnel on February 2 and 3.

Demolition of the viaduct is expected to begin a week after the tunnel opens, which could happen as soon as February 4.
