SHORELINE, Wash. - It's a t-shirt that says it all for King's High School. The message: 'Saved for a Reason" was in bold print on hundreds of t-shirts that were passed out to people who attended Friday night's basketball game.
Almost a week ago, the team was on their way back from a game when the bus driver reportedly said there was a problem with the brakes.
Coach Rick Skeen was on the bus.
"We were flying down that off ramp and we were going faster and faster," said Skeen.
The bus ended up its side and members of the team were rushed to the hospital. The Coach and one player suffered concussions. Senior Brett Jones ended up with his wrist in a cast.
"We are just really lucky to be here and really lucky to walk off the bus," said Jones.
The team made a big comeback after the bad wreck. They showed up for a game Friday against Seattle Academy. King's High School won by 17 points.
Investigators remain determined to figure out what caused the accident. They say they are going to be interviewing players and the bus driver soon.
