Dr. Wendy Sue Swanson with Seattle Children's hospital shared suicide prevention strategies for parents, days after season 2 of the controversial Netflix show 13 Reasons Why debuted. The show deals with dark themes, including teen suicide.

Swanson also recommended that teens and parents should watch the show together, discuss reality versus fiction, play it safe, and provide access to help.
