Washington students will take to Seattle City Hall on Thursday to demand immediate action on climate change.
The group Zero Hour, which was founded and led by students across the United States, is organizing the event to bring attention to the impact of climate change on future generations.
Students will begin lobbying politicians starting at noon, with a press conference scheduled for 12:40 p.m.
Thursday’s event comes before a larger march planned for Saturday, July 21. Hundreds of young people are expected to march for the demands delivered Thursday at Garfield Community Center in Seattle starting at 9 a.m.
