Expect some more nighttime noise as work on the State Route 99 tunnel continues.

The nighttime work has been extended to July 23, originally scheduled to end July 9. The roadwork will take place on Railroad Way South between South King Street and First Avenue South.

Work will occur from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday-Friday. Crews are working on installing drainage on Railway Road South. The work involves excavators, lights, and other machinery, and detour signs will be in place as the road will be closed in both directions at night.

Buildings and parking garages will still have open access during the work.
