A man who is accused of at least 13 incidences of inappropriate interactions with children has been identified by Renton Police. He is still on the loose.
Remy Amon, 40, is originally from the Ivory Coast of Africa. He is a transient who has ties to Washington and Alaska.
More victims came forward after Amon was accused of groping a 10-year-old girl and attempting to lure a 5-year-old girl at a Renton Walmart on Sunday.
Amon was also seen on security cameras interacting with another young girl at the same Walmart on Sunday afternoon. Police are trying to identify that girl to make sure she is safe.
The other incidences allegedly happened in other cities, including two incidences in Federal Way on Sunday. Amon is accused of exposing himself to a child in Federal Way.
The 10-year-old girl and her cousin told officers they were shopping at the Walmart around 2 p.m. and saw a man was walking in the same aisles as them. When they were alone in an aisle, the girls told police the man groped one of them on the rear.
The girls told police he also offered to buy them board games or give them money for board games.
Later that evening, a man offered a 5-year-old girl some cookies in the same Walmart and tried to lure her, according to Renton Police.
Amon is 5-foot-9 and 180 pounds. He was wearing a black leather jacket, skinny jeans with holes on the front and back pockets, and loafers. During the two earlier incidents, he was wearing a maroon baseball cap.
Amon speaks with a heavy accent and several callers said he wears strong cologne.
