Police offer to test Louisiana meth for Zika virus

A Louisiana police department is encouraging anyone with crystal meth to bring it to their precinct for a free test.

A police department in Louisiana made a generous offer to protect the public from the Zika virus. Just bring in your meth for a free test.

A Facebook post from the Harahan Police Department posted a warning this week to encourage anyone with meth to turn in their drugs.

The post reads: "***WARNING: *** If you have recently purchased meth in any area of Louisiana it may be contaminated with the Zika Virus. Please bring all of it to your local Police Department and they will test it for free. If you're not comfortable coming to us, an officer will be glad to come to you and test your Meth in the privacy of your home. Please spread the word! We’re available 24/7/365. Be Safe! ~Ofc Moody"

No word yet if anyone has taken the offer.
