MUKILTEO, Wash. -- Tuesday night marks the first meeting for the new Mukilteo Strong Alliance.

The alliance was created following the murders of three teenagers at a gathering in June. Police have since arrested the lone suspect, Allen Ivanov. He used to date one of the victims and is now being held while he awaits trial.

Mukilteo’s mayor has been one of the leading voices behind the new alliance. One of the main goals is to create a permanent memorial in honor of the victims. They also hope to look for different ways for the community to heal and move forward.

Among the many expected in attendance will be friends and family of the people killed, non-profit organizations, and counselors.
