SEATAC, Wash. - Fire Investigators are trying to figure out what caused a home under construction to catch fire early Thursday morning. The 911 call came in at about 2:45 in the morning on the 5200 block of S 170th Lane.

Fire crews said they could see the flames from blocks away and the home was fully engulfed when they arrived. They immediately focused on defending other nearby structures.

One resident who lived next to the burning home suffered a minor burn injury. The flames from the fire were so intense they melted several cars and parts of a boat in the neighborhood. The vinyl siding of another home under construction was also damaged and a nearby lawn was charred.

Fire investigators said they need to wait until all the hot spots are under control before they can go in and figure out what caused the fire.
