LAKE TAPPS, Wash. -- A fire damaged a home on Lake Tapps Sunday but caused no injuries, say firefighters.
Fire officials received a call around noon Sunday from people who saw a house on fire across the lake.
When firefighters arrived at the home in the 21000 block of Snag Island Drive E, they found the basement fully engulfed in flames.
Since there were no nearby fire hydrants, firefighters had to use water tenders that transported water to douse the fire.
The homeowner told firefighters that a batter charging in the basement might have sparked the fire, but fire investigators have not yet verified the cause of the fire.
