One of Seattle’s most used roads reopened earlier than anticipated following the crane collapse on Saturday.

Four people were killed when part of a crane from the construction site of a future Google building fell onto traffic along Mercer Street. Crews worked over the weekend to clear the debris from the area.

Mercer Street and surrounding roads reopened around 4:30 a.m. Monday.

The Mercer Street off-ramp from southbound I-5 reopened shortly after.
