Attention anglers! Washington is celebrating its first annual Bass Week from July 8 -14, 2018.

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) is highlighting bass fishing tips, the best bass waters in the state, and answering your questions on all things bass on their Facebook and Instagram pages.

You can also submit your best bass fishing photos until July 14 for a chance to be featured on the WDFW’s social media accounts.

Washington waters are plentiful with over 1,000 lakes and rivers containing large and smallmouth bass across the state. You don’t even have to own a boat to catch bass. The WDFW says some of the best bass fishing can be done from docks or along the shoreline.

Don’t forget your Washington state fishing license before casting your line in the water!
