Late Tuesday afternoon, investigators released surveillance video of two possible suspects running from the scene of the murders of two men in University place.
Adrian Valencia of Tacoma, 19, and Wilberth Lopez Acala of Tacoma, 22, were both killed by a gunshot wound to the head, and their deaths were ruled a homicide Tuesday by the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Detectives say the murders appear "to be drug-related."
Valencia and Lopez Acala were found near Kobayashi Park about 5:30 a.m. Monday after a neighbor called police thinking the men were passed out in the car.
Bullet casings were found inside and outside the Dodge sedan.
Law enforcement did not receive any calls for reports of gunshots fired.
The murders do not appear to be connected to the neighborhood where the bodies were found, according to Pierce County Sheriff's Department spokesperson Ed Troyer.
Crimestoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information.
