Vashon Island park vandalized by vehicle doing 'donuts' on grass field

Repairs to Vashon's Agren Park could cost up to $100,000.

The King County Sheriff’s Office has asked for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a vandal that tore up grass at a Vashon Island park.

Deputies said someone broke a chain at the entrance to Agren Park on Dec. 28 and drove their car onto the field. The vandal did “donuts” in the field, which left deep tire tracks on the grass.

Agren Park was recently resurfaced, and repairs to the damage could cost between $50,000 and $100,000.

Deputies ask anyone with information about the vehicle or suspect(s) involved in this incident to contact the non-emergency number at (206) 296-3311 and reference case #19049904.
