Some 'questionable people' spent time at site of triple homicide in Port Angeles

It's believed to be Clallam County's first triple murder in at least 25 years.

For a second day, detectives collected evidence Wednesday from the scene of a triple homicide on Bear Meadow Road, just outside the city limits of Port Angeles.

Three people were found dead on the five-acre property New Year's Eve after friends called police saying they hadn't heard from them since Christmas.

"Our goal is to recreate that moment in time in which the people were murdered," said Clallam County Sgt. John Keegan. "In order to do that we have to gather as much physical evidence or statements from people who may know any type of a motive as to why this has happened."

Police identified the victims as Darrell Iverson, his son Jordan and Jordan's 26-year-old girlfriend Tiffany May.

Investigators said all of three of the victims were shot multiple times. The father and son were left covered with tarps. The girlfriend was discovered in a shed.

The house was not on police radar, and none of the victims had serious criminal records.

The property was described by authorities as a "crash pad" where people, some of them homeless, would stay for a while.

One family friend said some "very questionable people" had spent time there.

Police said they have several people they're trying to track down but believe there was only one shooter.

"Based on the information that we have now we believe the person may have been staying here or knew the people here. We don't believe it's anything random," said Keegan.

Investigators have set up a special tip line at (360) 417-2540 for anyone with information that may help lead them to the killer.
