SEATTLE – The new Angle Lake Link light rail station opened to the public Saturday morning.

The station is located just off the corner of Highway 99 and S. 200th Street, 1.6 miles south of Sea-Tac Airport. It includes 1,120 parking spaces.

A dedication celebration took place at 9:30 a.m. followed by the inaugural ride.

When regular service begins, the first train Monday – Saturday will leave Angle Lake at 5:00 a.m. with the last the last train leaving at 12:45 a.m. the next morning. The first train Sunday leaves at 6:00 a.m. and the final train leaves at 11:45 p.m.

A ride from Angle Lake to Westlake Center in Downtown Seattle is approximately 42 minutes, with an additional six minutes for those going all the way to the University of Washington.

Angle Lake will be the southern-most station on the line until the Kent-Des Moines station opens, scheduled for 2023.
