5 earthquakes, the largest a 4.5, recorded off S. Oregon coast

The largest was a 4.5 at 9:21 Thursday night that came shortly after 4.1 and 3.9 quakes minutes earlier.

GOLD BEACH, Ore. -- Five earthquakes struck Thursday and Friday about 120 miles off the Southern Oregon Coast, according to the USGS.

The largest was a 4.5 at 9:21 Thursday night that came shortly after 4.1 and 3.9 quakes minutes earlier.

An hour later, there was 3.8 quake and early Friday morning, 3.5 quake.
