Be sure to give yourself plenty of time if you’re planning a trip to downtown Seattle this weekend. Delays and backups are expected on northbound I-5 between the West Seattle Bridge and Seattle’s University District as WSDOT crews continue work on the Revive I-5 project. Want to get out of the city? The Johnston Ridge Observatory is officially open at Mount St. Helens. The opening kicks off the unofficial viewing season at Mount St. Helens.

If you want to explore nature but avoid the fight for a parking space, Trailhead Direct will start their second route from the Capitol Hill Link light rail station to Mount Si and Mount Teneriffe Saturday. Weekend transit service will cost you $2.50 until July.

Shop local and enjoy food, crafts, and live music at the 49th annual U District StreetFair. The festival is from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Sunday.
