Violinist and star of HBO's Treme, Lucia Micarelli

From Julliard, to touring and then to starring in a hit television series, Lucia Micarelli shares her journey with New Day.

Seattle — At age six Lucia Micarelli made her debut as a soloist with the Honolulu Symphony Orchestra. She went on to take classes at Julliard School of Music and was then invited to tour with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. After that she was a featured soloist in two of Josh Groban's world tours and was also featured in Barbara Streisand's international tour.

Fans of HBO's Treme will recognize Lucia as Annie Talarico, and her first concert special can be seen on PBS. Lucia has two solo albums, Interlude and Music From a Farther Room. You can watch her play tonight, Oct. 29 at 7:30 p.m. at Benaroya Hall.
