SEATTLE — Ciscoe Morris, the gardening guru of the Pacific Northwest, is here to tell us all about the beautiful flowering plant, Upright Sedums.

Upright Sedums have bold, succulent foliage and showy late-season flowers that look a little like colorful broccoli. Autumn Joy is a well-known variety but there are lots of other varieties, including some with colorful foliage. Bees love the colorful blossoms, and birds feast on the showy seed heads after they fade in early winter. These plants are generally pest-free, but sometimes they flop over.
