On-task Tips:

1. Write out where you are in your task and what you need to do upon return- a few words is fine.

2. When you interrupt someone, encourage them to write down what they were doing so they can switch modes effectively and give you their full attention.

3. Create a ready-to-resume plan when you're interrupted, before you head to a meeting, and at the end of the day.
