New movie Woodstock or Bust takes us back to 1969 and the Summer of Love

Director Leslie Bloom and actress Lisa Skvarla talk about the film and its connection to the Pacific Northwest.

SEATTLE — New movie Woodstock or Bust follows Lorian (Willow Shields) and Meryl (Meg DeLacy), two 17-year-old songwriters on a cross country journey road trip to show their music at New York’s world-famous Woodstock Music & Art Fair.  Hitting the road in a '65 Mustang Convertable, the teens defy all odds, including their parents and better judgment, on a road trip that will change their lives forever.

Woodstock or Bust has racked up three wins at 2019's Los Angeles Film Festival (Best Picture, Best Editing, Best Cinematography) and two at the Artemis Women in Action Film Festival (Best Feature Pro-Action, Best Actress).

Award-winning Director and Portland native Leslie Bloom has a filmography that includes feature documentary MAMA EARTH and Emmy award-winning Bill Nye the Science Guy and Northern Exposure. She and actress Lisa Skvarla, who plays Sophia in the film, talk about the making of, how the story connects with Bloom's own history and filming in the Pacific Northwest.
