Learn the art of the Bonsai from a local master to ease your busy mind

Escape from your troubles by pruning tiny, tiny trees.

SEATTLE — If you're searching for some inner peace, have you ever considered that you might find it pruning Bonsai trees? Nationally recognized Bonsai Master Anthony Fajarillo has been taking care of trees for decades, even leaving a career as a mechanical engineer to pursue his passion. Tending to bonsai taught him many life lessons that he's ready to share with the world. Fajarillo joins New Day Northwest to teach us how to prune and drop some wisdom along the way.

Fajarillo is teaching an introductory bonsai workshop at StudioLife Seattle, 5236 University Way NE, on Thursday, April 25, from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. At "Introduction to the Ancient Art of Bonsai" students can learn where to begin on their bonsai journey and take home a live creation. Tickets cost $100.
