Keeping your emotions in check when they feel out of control

We've all heard the term, "emotional roller coaster" - when it's hard to maintain control of emotions, thoughts, even actions. Part of breaking that pattern is working on the connection between thoughts and emotions.

Emotions can be hard to decipher and control, especially after uncomfortable situations or experiencing hardships. Counselor and leadership coach Namita Purohit, an expert in emotional intelligence, explains the importance of keeping your emotions in check and how to identify emotional triggers that may have you feeling out of control.

Purohit teaches a four week course called Take Charge of Your Emotions at Bellevue College on Thursdays from 6:30PM - 8:30 PM. There is still time to register for the upcoming session, which begins September 20.
