Keeping safe while slicing and dicing in the kitchen

We've all seen the cooking shows where chefs WOW us lightening fast knife skills as they chop their way through piles of vegetables. For the home chef, safe is always better than fast, but we can still learn some skills to improve our kitchen chops.

Seattle — Froglegs Culinary Academy owner Laura Vida and her student chef, 12 year old Sasha Snavlin, demonstrate some skills you can put to use in your home kitchen to stay safe and be tactful when using knives in the kitchen. Both children as young as three and adults can learn the necessary tips and tricks to keeping their knife skills sharp.

Froglegs Culinary Academy caters to both kids and adults by holding cooking classes out of Kirkland and University Village.
