SEATTLE — Honda and Toyota of Seattle is a family business, supporting the local Seattle market and surrounding markets for over 30 years. Started in 1986 in downtown Seattle, they relocated to SoDo on Airport Way, right off of I-5, in 2015. "It's great to have both products on the same property," said General Manager Melissa Miller.
When it comes to buying a new car, they make it "easy to buy and easy to own." They provide buyers with the 5-year cost of ownership with Honda and Toyota versus other brands, and include some extras:
- 2 years of oil changes
- 7 year/100,000 mile limited powertrain warranty
- 7 years of roadside assistance
"Hondas and Toyotas generally have a very low cost of ownership," said Miller. Honda and Toyota of Seattle also have rigorous owner loyalty programs, damage waivers, and a college buying program, "It depends whether it's Honda or Toyota. But sometimes it's up to $750 to purchase if you are either a two-year or four-year graduate."
"The hot products are the Honda CR-V and the Toyota Rav4," said Miller, "The safety features are the big items right now that people talk about." Steering and lane assist features help keep drivers in their lane and on the road. Automated emergency braking watches for oncoming collisions and will quickly stop the car if needed. Adaptive cruise control allows the driver to set their speed to match the car in front of them.
Miller says that this time of year is a great time to purchase a new car. "The last quarter [of the year], the manufacturers are really pushing the 2019 cars because they want to make room for the 2020s. Right now is a great time to buy."
