In 2012 Marie Jones was vacationing in the South of France with her dogs Billy and Margot, and saw them suffering from the heat. Her pet-parent friends would share their own ice cream with their dogs to cool them off, which didn't sit right with certified nutritionist Marie. She knew that dairy products and high sugars are not good for dog’s digestive systems, so she started creating and testing recipes of her own. The Billy + Margot Iced Treat was the result, and her brand of premium dog food made from high-quality ingredients was born.
“We use the ancestral model, and it’s very much based on what dogs need,” says Marie, and what they need is what they would get if they were living wild. The food is grain free, made primarily of animal protein, and superfoods like fruits and vegetables. Billy + Margot makes high-quality food with human grade ingredients.
