Help military veterans visit memorials honoring their service through Puget Sound Honor Flight

The Honor Flight Network has transported over 180,000 veterans so far.

SEATTLE — Puget Sound Honor Flight's mission is to get military veterans to Washington DC so they can visit the national monuments erected in honor of their service. Puget Sound's chapter of the honor flight network began in 2013 when a group of individuals realized they all wanted to make sure veterans in the area could go on their "One Last Mission." The trips are free of cost to the veteran, with funding provided through individual donations and corporate support.

Recording Artist Kaleb Lee is set to perform at a benefit for the Puget Sound Honor Flight that will help transport veterans to Washington DC.

Lee finished 6th on Season 14 of NBC's The Voice and just finished recording his debut album with Kelly Clarkson, his coach on The Voice. Lee and World War II Marine veteran Louise George join New Day Northwest to give us a sneak preview of the benefit and talk about Puget Sound Honor Flight's important work. Louise is a resident at Merrill Gardens, who is sponsoring the benefit concert.

UPDATE: Friday, March 22 - The below event has already taken place.
