Country Singer Austin Jenckes releases his debut album

Jenckes was named one of Rolling Stone's "Country Artists You Need to Know.”

SEATTLE — Washington Native Austin Jenckes found success after rising to the top ten on The Voice in 2013. His single “Fat Kid” is making a splash on the country charts, and within the last year, he was recognized by Rolling Stone and won the ASCAP Foundation’s Harold Adamson Lyric Award in Country for his songwriting chops. Jenckes debut album “If You Grew Up Like I Did” releases May 31 and he's celebrating with an album release show in his home state. Jenckes joins New Day Northwest to perform the title track and tell us more about his music.
