Bring home a furry friend short term with PAWS foster system

Bring love and joy into your life and that of an animal in need by becoming a foster with PAWS's foster program. Sponsored by Premera Blue Cross.
Help bring love and joy back into an animals life by becoming a foster owner with PAWS.

Seattle — While pets look cute, they are a big commitment and people choose not to adopt from shelters for a variety of reasons.

PAWS foster system makes it easy to take care of animal, but not have the long term commitment. Some animals may only need one week of care, while others need up to three months.

PAWS will match you with the best type of pet for your lifestyle and give you the chance to bring some healing back into these animals lives.

All you have to do is fill out an application on their website and once that is approved, sign up for a foster class.

This program gives you a chance to help an animal who maybe experienced trauma and is lonely or sad. It can also bring something new to your life and make you happier by having a pet in your home.

They have cats, dogs, kittens and puppies who are all waiting to be given love and affection.

We had Patty Dooley, a PAWS volunteer and Brittany Cannon, a PAWS foster lead join the show to talk about the benefits of fostering an animal.

This program is not only a great way to give back to your community, but can also help bring warmth into your own life.
