Seattle — At the Special Olympics Games held in Seattle last week, 4,000 athletes and coaches came to compete and exhibit their talents in 14 different sports, including flag football, powerlifting, gymnastics, and even paddleboarding. Athletes from across the nation attended the games, but Washington state is home to many competitors that represented our communities. Maeson Harper, a tennis player from Black Diamond, is one of them. Along with her coach Dan Cotton of the Boeing Employees Tennis Club, the 17-year-old attended the Special Olympics Games and now they discuss the experiences they've had together through the sport of tennis.
