Bainbridge Museum of Art hosting a Celebration of Martin Luther King Jr.

The Race Equity Network is throwing a Community MLK Celebration Sunday, Jan. 20 and you all are invited

SEATTLE — The Race Equity Network’s Karen Vargas joins New Day Northwest to talk about the Community MLK Celebration held this Sunday, Jan. 20, at the Bainbridge Museum of Art, 550 Winslow Way E, Bainbridge Island. Singer and songwriter Destinee Triplett will also perform a gospel song she wrote that viewers can catch at the event. The community celebration will have music, art, food, guest speakers, presentations and activities for children.

The Race Equity Network is a community organization on Bainbridge Island that aims to educate the community about race equity. The network is throwing the event to celebrate the ideals and memory of Martin Luther King Jr.

The Community MLK Celebration begins at 4 p.m. and is free for all to attend.
