Aberdeen teen amazes Michael Buble with his voice at Tacoma concert

Ben Fagerstedt, 17, was volunteered to sing with Buble in front of 18,000 people. He definitely rose to the occasion.

Ben Fagerstedt, 17, scored the opportunity of a lifetime when he was volunteered to sing with Michael Buble at his concert at the Tacoma Dome on April 6.

Fagerstedt of Aberdeen blew Buble and the crowd away with his rendition of "I've Got You Under My Skin."

“I think I just got into my element, something I’m really comfortable with,” Fagerstedt said.

Fagerstedt said it was completely random that Buble selected him to sing at the concert.

Fagerstedt has been singing since his freshmen year of high school, performing in high school and college musicals and the All-State Choir; he won the Baritone division of the WIAA Solo/Ensemble competition in 2018.

Fagerstedt joined New Day Northwest to talk about his experience at the concert and perform "One for My Baby, One for the Road" by his biggest musical influence, Frank Sinatra (Michael Buble is second).
