Tiny home trailer is a vacation cabin on wheels

This tiny home trailer/RV made its debut at the Seattle RV show.
ESCAPE Traveler's 'Vista', at home in the snow

SEATTLE -- In this year's sea of trailers and motor homes at The Seattle RV show there's one that looks...like home.

"It's a 20 foot tiny home slash RV," explained Randy Woodman of ESCAPE Traveler.

Think of this as a single wide -- with swag. It's got a TV that raises from the foot of the bed, real wood butcher block counter tops, and maple cabinetry.

"We don't use veneers," siad Woodman.

ESCAPE Traveler is based in  Wisconsin, builds these new wave trailers in America, and is debuting the 'Vista' at the Seattle RV show this year -- this 150 square foot 'Personal Home' could be yours for about the same price as a well equipped Prius.  And it's proving popular.

"They like the comfyness and coziness of it," said Woodman.

It can go anywhere a full sized SUV with a towing hitch can go, but Randy's favorite feature? One of the things that makes it homey:

"Oh the windows. You know with most RVs or tiny homes you feel like you're in a box. Even our smallest model, the 20 footer, because of all the windows, the great design we put into them, you don't feel closed in at all."

So say good bye to the land yacht -- this might the future of RVing.

And it looks a lot like home, only smaller.

"I think it's going this way. I think it's going towards a way where people can have quality, and beauty around them when they're RV-ing." said Woodman.
