SEATTLE — The season of Pike Place Market satellite locations is officially underway.

The original Pike Place Market has been around since 1907. But did you know that when summer comes around, pop-up farmers markets appear throughout the city?

There are five locations throughout Downtown Seattle. The newest is the Regrade Farmers Market, located right next to the Amazon Spheres.

Vendors feature food, flowers, and wares from the same stands that visitors find at Pike Place Market – including asparagus from Eastern Washington, flowers from the Snohomish Valley, and fresh-caught seafood.

"Our markets differ a little bit from your traditional neighborhood farmer's market because we concentrate in the urban core,” said Zack Cook, Farm Programs Manager. "Just a really great cross-section of what Washington has to offer."

Depending on the location, Pike Place Farmers Markets pop-up every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from now through November.
