SEATTLE — No Bones Beach Club in Ballard is serving sunshine and surf all year long. There's meaning to this beach club's name, too - when they say "No Bones", they really mean no bones. All of their food and drinks are vegan!
Just stepping inside this restaurant and bar invokes beachy, tropical vibes. But sidle up to the bar and order one of their many tropical drinks, and you'll feel like you just hopped on a plane to somewhere warm and breezy. The coconut mojito is especially tasty. And there's a secret drink on the menu that involves a shark - that's your hint!
Their vegan food is just as delicious. They have a wide menu that has everything from appetizers to brunch. And not only is their menu vegan, but most menu items can be made gluten-free as well.
Two fan-favorites on the menu are the Northwest Nachos and the Amazeballs. The Amazeballs are panko-breaded macaroni and cheese balls with crumbled tempeh bacon and jalapeños, and then topped with a ranch drizzle and served with smoked pepper aioli.
The nachos feature house-made tortilla chips covered in poblano cashew queso, topped with salsa, cilantro crema and spiced jackfruit carnitas. They taste almost exactly like pork carnitas!
