Local businesses in the PNW that bring Island Vibes to the PNW

We may live in one of the rainiest parts of the country... but that doesn't mean we can't experience island life! 

From a unique Hawaiian bakery, to a list of poke spots, to a tropical pizza place -- spoiler alert: it has chips and mangoes on it, visit some of the most tropical spots in the PNW.

Hawai'ian vibes are just around the corner!

1. 6 Poke sites at Pudget Sound

The poke trend has taken Seattle by storm. Here are places where you can go to find the perfect fishbowl in the area. There are authentic poke style, sushi-like poke, and poke rolls -- all of them are tasty!

2. Hawaiian store in Seattle

Need sunshine and palm trees? There's a place in Seattle that will not only take you to Hawaii, but they'll also treat you like ohana-- family -- once you arrive. The Hawaii General Store is the kind of place where they string leis with fresh orchids and plumeria.

3. Special tropical pizza

You don't have to live on an island to get a taste of the islands. Just follow your nose to the Tiki Tap House. From the moment it opened right in the heart of Centralia, the Tiki Tap House has been the talk of the town. The Tiki Tap House specializes in island-inspired pizzas.

4. Bremerton's Musubi-only cafe

Cafe Kai serves popular Hawaiian snack and lots of Aloha. Musubi is a mashup of Japanese and American food - rice and Spam, bound by seaweed. A sign on the door proudly proclaims No Muffins, No Scones, No Croissants, No Sandwiches, Aloha! But don't worry, because they have espresso -- because it's the Pacific Northwest.

5. Hawaiian Bakery in Seattle

Nearly 3,000 miles from Hawaii, a small bakery in the Georgetown neighborhood is teaching people the meaning of 'ohana. An authentic taste of the islands from a family-run business has made Cakes of Paradise a mainland destination.
