Live music in Seattle, week of 5/1 - KEXP's Music That Matters

Baby In Vain is playing this Friday at the Nordic Museum Grand Opening show. The show is currently sold out, but don't worry you can catch them at KEXP live studio instead!

Each week, The Morning Show's DJ John Richards from KEXP 90.3 FM makes recommendations to help us sort through the many incredible options for live music in Seattle's music scene.

  • THUR 5/3 - Horse Feathers - The Tractor - Horsefeathers has a new album out, Appreciation, their sixth.
  • FRI 5/4 - Baby In Vain - Nordic Museum - This trio from Denmark is also playing on Friday at the new Nordic Museum Grand Opening show, but that is sold out, so catch them here at KEXP instead.
  • SAT 5/5 - Kendrick Lamar - White River Amphitheater - Lamar won the Pulitzer for his album Damn., but he most recently did the soundtrack for Black Panther, which has smashed box office records.
  • SUN 5/6 - Ezra Furman - The Tractor - Furman's new solo album is called Transangelic Exodus.
  • MON 5/7 - Unknown Mortal Orchestra - The Moore - The New Zealand psych-rock band's fourth album Sex & Food came out last month.
  • TUES 5/8 - Editors - Neumos - Editors hail from Birmingham, England. Their sixth album Violence came out in March.
