On Thursday at noon, come here to KEXP to see Deserta live in-studio. Deserta is the alter ego of the Los Angeles shoegaze musician Matthew Doty. His solo debut Black Aura My Sun came out last month. He also plays Thursday night at the Central Saloon.

Another pick for your Thursday is Brooklyn Afrobeat band Antibalas, playing at The Neptune. Antibalas is touring in support of their new 7th album Fu Chronicles, out on Daptone Records.
