SEATTLE —

Wed 2/26 at 8:00 PM, Ladysmith Black Mambazo at The Neptune

Catch legendary South African choir Ladysmith Black Mambazo tomorrow at The Neptune. The group's founder Joseph Shabalala founded the group in 1960. They famously collaborated with Paul Simon on his Graceland album. Sadly, he passed away just two weeks ago, on February 11th.

Thurs 2/27 & Fri 2/28 at 7:30 PM, Robyn Hitchcock at the Fremont Abbey

On Thursday AND Friday a musician near and dear to my heart, Robyn Hitchcock plays at the Fremont Abbey. Hitchcock was the very first artist we played on KEXP when the station transitioned from KCMU, and also the first artist I played live from our new home here at Seattle Center. He has 21 studio albums to his name, and a new single "Sunday Never Comes".

Fri 2/28 at 8:00 PM, Chastity Belt at Neumos

Come here to KEXP on Friday for an in-studio with Seattle's Chastity Belt at noon. The 4-piece released their self titled fourth album Chastity Belt last year. They also play Friday night at Neumos

Fri 2/28 at 9:30 PM, Eyelids at the Clock-Out Lounge

Another pick for your Friday, catch indie rock collective Eyelids at The Clock-out Lounge. Eyelids features current or former members of Decemberists, guided by Voices, and Steven Malkmus and the Jicks, so they are an indie rock supergroup of sorts. Their latest album is called Accidental Falls.

Sun 3/1 at 8:00 PM, Thundercat at Showbox SoDo

And finally, catch the funky sounds of Thundercat, who plays Sunday at Showbox SoDo. Thundercat has worked with Suicidal Tendencies, Flying Lotus, and Kendrick Lamar, and is set to release his fourth album It Is What It Is in April.
