Halo storms into town for the first Worlds in Seattle

Legendary video game hold its championships in the land of its birth.

For the first time ever Halo is holding its world championship in its hometown. The 3rd Halo World Championship Finals will light up CenturyLink Field Event Center this weekend.

Sixteen teams will vie for a million dollars in prize money Friday through Sunday in the gathering of the best Halo gamers on the planet.

"Players have really made a living outta this. It's totally changed their lives. They're able to pay their way through college, help their families out. So, it's been really incredible," said event organizer Tahir "Tashi" Hasandjekic from 343 Industries.

Fans can meet the pros, watch a live broadcast, pose with a Spartan, play the game, even buy their very own plasma grenade.

Master Chief would be proud.

"I would hope he'd be damn impressed," said Tashi.
