From monster trucks to cotton candy ducks, the Evergreen State Fair is ON

The annual gathering in Monroe, WA opened today
A duck made of cotton candy can be had at The Evergreen State Fair

Monroe, Wash. — Let the games begin! And the monster trucks. And the horses, goats and sheep. And the bacon-wrapped corn dogs next to the kettle corn and pie. And the giant onion next to the most circuitous cucumber you'll ever see.

The Evergreen State Fair opened up the gates today just as the sun peaked back out from behind the clouds and smoke.

The monster trucks will create clouds of smoke on their own...they're back this weekend for the first time in five years. Ducks are new in more ways than one. There are duck races four times a day. And you can get a duck made of cotton candy. You pick the color!

There are concerts, rides, goat yoga...you can even sit in a $7,000 chair!

The annual gathering in Monroe runs through September 3rd.
