EVERETT, Wash. — It's hip, hot and happenin'. And not just the coffee! They serve up coffee and more at Everett's Narrative Coffee Co.

Award-winning baristas choose two filter and two espresso varieties daily, one "tame" and one "wild," as they say.

A bittersweet, dark chocolate mocha pairs well with their becoming-famous chocolate chip cookies with a sprinkle of sea salt on top.

And coffee is just the start. Their biscuits are made in-house from scratch. Enjoy one by itself or as part of the "Count of Monte Bisco" with ham, gruyere, cranberry compote, and maple syrup.

Avocado fans won't want to miss the "Avocado Tartine," an open-face sourdough toast dish with pickled red onion, watermelon radish garnished with micro greens.
