Evening's Keiko Sagami met up with Seattle Magazine writer and Fairmont Olympic Hotel's Director of Celebrations, Andrew Hoge, for the latest wedding trends in this week's #WhatsTrending!

Seattle designer makes gowns fit for a princess

Luly Yang

If you want to feel like royalty on your big day, Luly Yang's Bridal Salon in the Fairmont Olympic Hotel is the place to find a dress fit for a princess. The Seattle designer is world renown and her gowns feature incredible embellishments and architectural draping.

Showcase your home through drinks

Local Libations

Couples are proud of where they come from and want that to be represented in their wedding. Showcasing liquors from their hometown (I.e. Deep Eddy Vodka from Austin, Tex. or Chateau Ste. Michelle wine from Woodinville, Wash.) is a great way to personalize the wedding experience. It's a little taste of home.

Wedding bouncy castles are a thing now

A Wedding Wonderland

There’s another wedding trend happening in England that we wish would hurry up and get to America. Fancy bouncy houses! For a while now, people have been renting out these for their receptions, but A Wedding Wonderland in England is making an all-white castle with flower decor. Seriously so fun.

Add a custom scent to your ceremony

Event scenting

The idea of scenting a wedding (especially a ceremony) is huge this season and adds an opportunity for guests to experience the event with all senses. So, as you walk into the ceremony and hear the great music and see the beautiful flowers, you also experience the couple's custom scent that showcases what they're all about. The royal couple recently had their custom scent designed for the wedding.
