BOTHELL, Wash. — If you’ve ever dreamed about having a child’s tea party in a grown-up world, visit Graham’s RoyalTea in Bothell.

The family-run shop features a “princess room” where kids (and adults) can choose from an array of gowns and accessories to wear for tea service in a private dining room.

“It's definitely an experience, it's not just a restaurant,” said Floyd Graham, who runs the shop with his wife Christy.

There’s also a retail space in the front of the store selling a variety of tea, aprons, serving trays, scone mixes, and more.

"When people walk in you hear, 'Oh it's so cute.' Then they walk into the next room which is the tea and party room, and there's a gasp - 'It's so pretty in here.' Then they go back to the princess room and there's a squeal, ‘ooh!’” Christy said, laughing. “So we get the ooh, the gasp, and the squeal five times a day!”

The Grahams remodeled the shop’s space inside a historic Bothell building themselves, and prepare every spot of tea and finger sandwich they serve.

Their beloved pets also contribute – they’re featured in wall portraits and on the menus.

“It's a full family affair,” Christy said.

The shop offers packages for afternoon tea or private parties, by reservation only. The boutique is always open for walk-ins.

However they come, the Grahams hope their customers leave feeling a little bit like royalty.

"We want everybody to feel happier for having been here,” Christy said.

Graham’s RoyalTea is located on Main Street in Bothell.
