Unicorn in Seattle serves up some pretty magical drinks, but have you all heard of glitter beer?
It's exactly what it sounds like, beer that is magically infused with glitter and it's just in time for Pride Week.
Where to find the magic:
Redhook Brew Lab on Capitol Hill created a "Highly Veroitc Pale Ale" which they'll be serving up at their Pride party on June 24th.
Mollusk Brewing also created a glitter beer for Pride Week, which is available at their brewhouse in South Lake Union.
This isn't something just taking off here in Seattle...the trend is all the rage across the country. It can be found in Michigan, Wisconsin, Oregon, Colorado and more. They all have one thing in common, fans going crazy for their beer infused with "fairy dust".
The original glitter beer was brewed by Three Weavers Brewing Company out of California in 2015.
Not to disappoint, but there's obviously no real magic involved in the making of glitter beer, it's really just edible glitter poured into kegs as they are being filled with beer. Which is good news for beer lovers because the glitter has no impact of the flavor of the beer.
Happy Pride!
