PUYALLUP, Wash. — In the heart of Puyallup is a tiny dive bar that many locals like to call home.
"Everything at Bumpy's is cheap," said Bumpy's bartender Crystal Weidner. "We have $3.75 drafts, $5.50 wells, all of our drinks are made strong...meaning doubles!"
Microbrews are $4.25 and twenty ounces. Bumpy's signature "Angry Balls" drink is a shot of Fireball whisky with a pint of apple cider.
"We keep it kind of simple," Weidner said, referring to the bar's drink options. "We don't even have a blender!"
The food is a big draw. Large portions and daily specials, including $2 tacos, $4 boneless wings and $5 pizzas are raved about by anyone who try them.
As far as entertainment? While Bumpy's does have dart boards and a jukebox, Weidner said guests will get all the entertainment they need and more from other customers.
"Every Wednesday night during bingo, you can hear the whole bar singing," she said with laugh.
"You make friends... you always find somebody that has a story from Puyallup," said Kelli Looker, a Bumpy's regular. "It's the place to be. It's just a good spot."
Bumpy's also organizes a car show every summer with the proceeds going toward the American Cancer Society. Weidner said they have raised over $120,000 over the past eight years.
